Caterpillar will discontinue sales of its M-series wheel loaders. They will be replaced by new models called Cat 980 and Cat 982 and modifications of 980 XE and 982 XE.
Cat 980 and 980 XE Loaders have 313 hp, with an operating weight of 30.3 tonnes, a static tipping load of 20.9 tonnes and a break-away force of 2.3 tonnes, and bucket capacity from 4 to 14 cubic meters.
For front loaders Cat 982 and 982 XE provides technical characteristics: power of 322 horsepower, curb weight of 35.4 tons, static tipping load of 22.4 tons, breakout force of 22.7 tons, bucket capacity of 4.7-17.2 cubic meters.
The functionality of the new loader models allows the automation of the entire loading cycle to ensure a consistently high bucket filling ratio.
Other features include the Cat Payload with Assist precise bucket payload weighing system, low lift weight and manual lowering. The Cat Advanced Payload option gives operators information assistance and is compatible with third party weighing software.
The machine is also equipped with Auto Tyre Adjustment, reducing tyre slippage and loading time.
